5. Security |
 |
 |
|
|
|
|
|
The service meets industry standards of security. In addition to 128-bit
data encryption, you will need to input a unique personal User ID and
your Access Password whenever you access this service.
Your User ID, Access Password and your Transaction Authorisation Card
are all personal to you, and help safeguard against unauthorised access
to your bank details (as long as you follow our security procedures).
Make sure you never reveal your security details to anyone or send them
via email at anytime. We strongly recommend that you do not record them
on your web browser.
The security padlock on the browser window (normally located on the toolbar
in the bottom right hand corner of your screen) indicates that a secure
session is in progress. Double-clicking the padlock symbol will tell you
the level of security being used.
The BBVA Net service has timed log-outs, which means that sessions end
after several minutes of inactivity. This helps to protect you against
unauthorised access. Please ensure you have logged off properly at the
end of every BBVA Net session by using the log off option on the top right
hand side of the screen.
If you think someone knows your Access Password you should contact our
BBVA Net Helpdesk immediately and ask for it to be reset.
Please refer to the Security guidance that is available on the 'Security'
link on our welcome screen or once you have entered BBVA Net.
